The Public Is Welcome To Visit Us

Stop by and see what amateur radio emergency communications is all about

Setup begins about 9am and official operations begin at 1pm on Saturday. Field Day officially lasts for 24 hours and will be complete at 1pm on Sunday.

Field Day is ham radio's open house. Every June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach, and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham radio.

Robertson County ARC's Field Day site will be located in a new location this year.

We will be located in the empty field just South of Aspen Dental and across the street from the Southern driveway to the Lowe's parking lot on Tom Austin Highway in Springfield, TN. The actual street address is  3495 Tom Austin Hwy.

Note: Aspen Dental is closed on Saturday and Sunday so their parking lot should be available.

** See the two aerial photos below for details. **

You can click on any of the two photos to take you to Google maps for directions to the Field Day site from wherever you are located. Just enter your address (or other location) in the top box and then pick your route.

Clicking on any map will take you away from our site so we suggest you right click and choose to open in a new browser tab or window

GPS Coordinates for the site are:

36.487342, -86.882340

Hope you can join us for some fun. Even if you are not an amateur (ham) operator, you still might have a chance to talk on the radio if you would like to try it.

If you haven't already volunteered for Field Day and would like to let Bob know you will be participating, click this link or email Bob at bob5dec58@aol.com
