The Public Is Welcome To Visit Us
Stop by and see what amateur radio emergency communications is all
about
Setup begins about 9am and official operations begin at 1pm on
Saturday. Field Day officially lasts for 24 hours, however RCARC will
only be operating on Saturday. We will be shutting down operations
sometime before dark.
Field Day is ham radio's open house. Every
June, more than 40,000 hams throughout North America set up temporary
transmitting stations in public places to demonstrate ham radio's
science, skill and service to our communities and our nation. It
combines public service, emergency preparedness, community outreach,
and technical skills all in a single event. Field Day has been an
annual event since 1933, and remains the most popular event in ham
radio.
Robertson
County ARC's Field Day site will be located in a new location this year.
We will
be located at a vacant field directly to the East of our regular
meeting/testing location, First Free Will Baptist Church, located at
811 16th Ave. East
in Springfield, TN 37172
Adequate
parking should be available in the church parking lot.
** See
the two aerial photos below for details. **
You can
